I just wonder what Protection Level does the DNS Servers Provide. For Instant, I notice other DNS Supplies/Services have protection from Malware, phishing sites and scam sites, also from Pornography etc.
So what Protection does the ISP provide then?
I can imagine, that I am told that Home Safe protects you from all of that. Yeah, that maybe right, but that only protects from Viruses. In fact one other thing it has is Parental Controls, so that can block out Pornography sites, but apart from that is nothing else.
Therefore, I just wonder what Protection does Talk Talk’s DNS Provide.

Yeah I do understand what your saying about Homesafe, but where does the DNS side of it come in?
Or is the DNS linked in with Homesafe?

the DNS server is a Dynamic Naming Server. All this does is convert Website names (eg www.talktalk.co.uk) into an IP address (eg 192.168.1.1 which is how the servers identify websites and other servers to route the data to and from your device)
What your discussing is Network Level Protection, which as Ady has advised, we do offer in the form of homesafe.
You can configure homesafe to block a variety of sites, not just pornography. This can be used to block gaming sites, social media, suicide and self harm sites as well as gambling and adult content. You can also enable virus alerts, Kids Safe and Homework time.
You can find more information in the Homesafe Overview article

Many thanks Mark, that explains all.
Also I know a lot about DNS, I was just merely asking what does talktalk got to offer in a way for protection, like other DNS Supply's that I shall not name. But I know of 6 Company's That provide DNS protection, but as for talktalk we have homesafe
P.S. If I turn off or Turn on Virus Protection under Homesafe I do not get a Notification anymore that It is on or off.
