I have found a more competitive deal with another provider. If I switch will they inform talk talk and cancel my current package or do I need to do this?

If it is another provider on the Openreach network then they should be able to make all the arrangements for you and arrange the switch. If it is Virgin Media, or another Full Fibre provider then you will need to order with them and notify TalkTalk directly. Best to check with your chosen new provider really.

I might add if price is the main attraction and you are otherwise happy with the TalkTalk service then it is well worth calling 0345 172 5157, tell them you are thinking of leaving and why, they may well be able to come up with an offer to persuade you to stay.
