Talk Talk Wifi Hub, change password problem

I just bought a new Wifi Hub from Talk Talk and want to change the Wifi login user name and password for security. I logged in to the router's IP address and changed the user name succesfully but cannot change the password. The error message is "Password does not match the security mode", which is WPA2. I have tried WPA also but without success.
I have tried numerous passwords which do comply with WPA2 requirements but none are accepted.

Hi AGC51,

Are you just using numbers and letters or are you entering any special characters in the password?
