@Anonymous Hello Michelle, Unfortunately, my openreach MK4 socket does not have a test line. There is only a socket for what appears to be a shape of a router and an icon of a phone handle.

Hello,

My broadband connection cuts out randomly and I have noticed on my router that the light changes from solid white to amber and it flashes between the two. After a little while its becomes stable white.

I have taken the plug of the router from the wall socket out for more then 30 seconds to no avail.

I ran a connection test and see the message that my router has not been identified.

As I am working from home this is impacting how I work.

Can I please get a new router?

It could just as well be a line or cabinet issue.

Is the phone line working normally without any extraneous noise ?

Do you have any extensions and are all those filtered too ?

Hello,

We don't use the actual phone line for making calls as we don't have a physical handset.

Morning,

I'm sorry to hear this. I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault, however I can see re-connections on the line. Does your main socket have a test socket please?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for confirming. The NTE5C should have a test socket behind the faceplate.
