topic new connection in Broadband

new connection

My broadband is due to go live today but the old service is still live. Will the old one go off at some stage. Do I have to wait for that before plugging in my new modem and starting.

Add your Talktalk landline number to your community forum profile details, @PeterBurnett1, for staff to identify your account.

Go via your avatar/name; settings; launch profile wizard.

Did you request to keep your old number when signing up with Talktalk? That process should automatically cancel the old provider.

If you are moving from Virgin, you must inform them yourself.

What is the "old" service and what is the "new" ?

Are they both with TT ?

It is not clear what you are expecting to happen.

Yes it was talk talk before but under the name of Shell. This time it is directly with talk talk. Because the old service is still working with the old modem I assumed it hadnt changed over yet. If I just plug in the new modem and set it up will that work?
