My Windows 10 desktop computer is wire to a HG635 router.

When I do a speed check using the cheskers on the TalkTalk web site it says download speed to the router is 38-40 Mbs but he speed to my computer is only about 11-12Mbs and rates it as poor.

1. How do I know to speed to my router as measured by TalkTalk is true?

2. Why is the speed to my computer so slow?

Have you run a speed test on a different device? What speed did you receive?

Yes, used a Hudl 2 with WiFi connection and got 21ms ping, 23.4Mbps download & 9.28Mbps upload.

I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault. Would you like us to send a replacement router for testing purposes to see how the connection compares? We would also send a router returns bag so that one of the routers can be returned.
