Hi,

I'm on the Fibre 150 package which I have been a bit over a year, and have been extremely pleased with it. I recently came home after being away for a couple of days and found the internet wasn't working. The Wi-Fi hub seems to be looping - it would flash orange for a while, then alternate flashing orange and white, then stop altogether for a couple of seconds, then repeat. I used the service centre to perform a live connection test which said my connection was fine, so I tried an old tp-link router I had lying around and now everything works again, so I think the router must be faulty and I've also seen community posts of people who had the same issue fixed by a replacement router.

As I'm on Fibre 150 I was hoping I could be sent an Eero 6 to replace the Wi-Fi hub?

Many thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with your service. Which router do you currently have connected?

Chris

Hi Chris,

I currently have connected a TP-Link Archer C2: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-c2/

The router that I believe to have broken is the TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub.

Thanks.

Hi Chris,

I would rather the Amazon Eero if possible?

Or is that only available on Future Fibre? When I had TalkTalk installed, the guy had to run a new cable from the utility pole to my house as the old one was unusable, and my connection is brilliant so I don't think I'd really gain anything by getting FTTP?

Many thanks.

I'm sorry, yes the Eero is only available to FTTP customer and only those on certain packages

Fair enough, just seems mad that if I choose to swap to FTTP it's costing TalkTalk money in order to send someone to install a new cable for the same exact service, same cost to me and to render redundant a cable that is barely a year old!

Perhaps I'll try a hardware reset on the Wifi hub first and get back to you, thanks.
