MESSAGE SAYING ISN'T SECURE

I frequently get a message on my computer headed 'TALKTALK xxxxx isn't secure' with message saying 'This Wi-Fi network uses an older security standard that's being phased out. We recommend connecting to another network'. What does this mean? Should I have a new router?
