No power to router

Was using the internet this evening and then the router died, I heard a slight bang from the router and the router light was out. The power socket and phone line are fine and I put a multimeter on the router power supply and it give 12v so that's fine.

The router has obviously failed.

Anyone know how to get this problem sorted quickly as I'm completely without home Internet.
