Hi there, just wondering if you could check my Broadband as it’s suddenly gone off and the router is just saying “disconnected”

I’m hoping it’s a temporary local issue.

My account details should be in my profile but my postcode is WR9.

Many thanks

Steve

Hi Steve

I'm really sorry to hear this.

I've completed a line test which has detected a potential fault with the landline service and this can affect the BB connection.

Is your landline working ok when making calls?

Thanks for checking the line. There is no problem with making phone calls just the router has no BB connection!

Thanks for your reply.

Please can you connect the router at the test socket and switch the router off and on again?

The socket that the router is connected to is an Openreach Master socket 5C. I’ve switched off the router and left it a few minutes and then switched it back on and it has now reconnected??

is powering off and waiting a few minutes different from a reboot?

Hi Steve

A 30 minute power down of the router will start a new session. If you only switch it off for a couple of minutes then it wont start a new session.

If you do experience this issue again then please let us know.

Thanks
