My router is dropping the connection when I connect my new Dell laptop to the WIFI.

If I turn the WIFI of on the laptop the connection is restored.

Please advise?

The firmware on the router is V1.09t date Mar 01 2018-10:13:28

How do I update this, is there a download area for the said firmware or can I just use a generic DLink edition of the firmware for the DSL-3782?

Regards

That is a rather old router. With a bit of luck the support team here will change it up for a newer model.

Make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk landline number and/or account number are complete on your community profile (click here) so that they can link your forum identity with your account and then wait for them to respond.
