Hello.

I’m looking to set up my own media server through Plex to access remotely from any network.

This server works great on the local network through an indirect connection, but I cannot enable remote access, as the the public IP listed on Plex isn’t the same as the public IPv4 address listed on my router login page.

It’s trying to connect to an IP that goes like 103.x.x.x, whereas my actual public IP is 89.x.x.x. I’ve been informed that this “89” address isn’t actually my public IP, and that it’s actually quite uncommon to see this type of public IP listed.

I’m wondering if you can provide me with my actual public IP? Thanks.

To get your WAN IP address:- https://whatismyipaddress.com/

Bear in mind this can change when you reboot your router unless you have a static IP address that comes with the TalkTalk Business package.
