Hi Until recently I could connect my phone or an iPad to my wifi when in my garden, recently I have been unable to do this. Could this be due to the D Link Extenders not working properly? If so would I be better off with the newer versions of extenders advertised on the TalkTalk site - Tenda PH3, please advise if yes and how do I obtain these - Thanks

Which D-Link extenders do you have currently, I assume that these are the WiFi extender kit as you mention WiFi? The Tenda ones that you mention are not WiFi extenders & only extend Ethernet connections.

Hi Keith the D-Link 'things' that I have connected are model number DHP 300AV, that is all I know, any ideas why I am no able to connect my phone or iPad when outside in the garden? Thanks

Those ones only extend a wired connection via Ethernet cables over the mains electric. Do you have wired connections in the garden then? You mention that you cannot connect via WiFi, that puzzles me how these are used to help that unless you have a router or access point in the garden connected back to your main router in the house, via these PLAs?

Exactly what is the state of each light on each unit, perhaps they are faulty or maybe something else is the cause of your problem?
