Can't change wifi name

I had to do a reset of my Huawei Router

Now I can't change the Router Name or Wifi Password.

It just "hangs" and does nothing.

The firmware now says:

"TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub
Version undefined"

UPDATE

I have been able to change both using my Android phone. But would appreciate it if you could check the firmware and see if I'm up to date/explain why i couldn't change the name via my PC using Edge,

What firmware do you have, on the Huawei DG8041W hub you can find this out by logging into it & going to:-

Dashboard > See Internet Settings > Manage advanced settings > System Info > Device Information

Look at the Software Version.

It did say "Undefined Version" and I couldn't get to that page. It wasn't loading.

This morning it says "v1.06t" which I believe is correct.

I have the same router. When you log in it silently times out some time later and then displays nonsense until you manage to get back to the login screen and log in again. At the moment is says Online for NaN:NaN:NaN day(s). Sometimes it will say I am not connected when I clearly am. Sometimes a page refresh will go back to the login screen but sometimes it won't. Sometimes I have to truncate the url to the ip address to get back.

Very clunky for a user interface. It looks like the timeout was added late and the interface doesn't handle it.

@nophead I noticed that when I first had it. The need to logout and log back in. But assumed that when TT updated the firmware it had fixed it.

The GUI does leave a lot to be desired IMO.

Would you like to try the Sagemcom Wifi Hub instead? We would also send a router returns bag so that one of the routers can be returned.

@Anonymous Unfortunately, the SAGEMCOM wouldn't connect to the internet - i'll return it in the bag i have with my TV thingy that I've never used.
