&lt;P&gt;If the hub is in a different room, the options are to use powerline adapters or purchase a long ethernet lead, the previous lead may have been damaged by the electrical surge.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Ethernet leads can be purchased online via retail sites etc, they are inexpensive, you could probably pick one up for five to ten pounds.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Tv box and wifi router not working</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We experienced an awful thunderstorm this morning and since then my talk talk tv box does not power up and there is no power to my wifi hub whatsoever. I have tried different sockets and they still do not work. HELP please!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If the Openreach Modem has been damaged also, then an openreach engineer would be required to replace that or repair any damage to the external line.&lt;/P&gt;
