When you get this error, is the laptop actually connected to the router via WiFi, or has it dropped out? If you go to a command prompt (assuming your laptop is Windows) and enter this command followed by the Enter key:-

ipconfig /all

Then copy & paste it into Notepad & attach it to your reply, I will try & work out what is going wrong.

We have been losing the WiFi connection on some devices recently - sometimes all devices lose connection but sometimes some of them are still connected. So, sometimes the laptops cannot connect to the Wifi, but mobile phones are fine, but other times mobiles also cannot connect.

The error message "Wi-fi doesn't have a valid IP configuration" is shown on the laptop when it is unable to connect to the internet.
