wifi / router snags and getting updates from Talk Talk

Hi, I had problems with the 2.4 Wi-Fi constantly dropping off, the 5g Wi-Fi working.

Now the router seems to have stopped completely.

the green lights are all good on the BT modem, but the router now had no lights and there is no TalkTalk wifi network showing.

I've reported to TalkTalk and got a reference number (on sunday20th) but can't get an update.

the contact us button doesn't work on the fault page!

Any suggestions on either the snag or how to get an update welcome.

( I am also having to use the internet else where, as we have very poor 4g mobile coverage.

Have you tried resetting your router to factory default settings? If not then can you give this a try and let us know how you get on - Restore your router to factory settings - TalkTalk Help & Support

Hi,

it didn't work.

the orange lights came back on, flashed for a while, then went off again.

Looks as though a router was ordered earlier this afternoon so it should hopefully be with you within a couple of days 🙂

New router arrived this afternoon and is now up and running.

everything seems to be working fine.
