Connecting Orbi mesh router to my TT 5464 router?

Hi everyone I am really struggling with this I have been trying to find help on the web but no luck can anyone here help plz thanks

never used this type of router before, but linking up 2 routers, usually you take a lead from the lan port of router 1 to the wan port of router 2.

Morning Karl thanks for you quick reply. I currently have that set up and my wireless devices say connected to Orbi network but no internet connection 😵‍💫

I have an Ethernet cable from the talk talk WAN port to the Orbi internet port and my broadband connection from Bt point to broadband port on TT router

Ok, first, what service are you on, do you have an adsl service or a fibre service such as fibre 35 or fibre 65 ?

It's ok, I've found your details, you are on a fibre (FTTC) service.

OK setup should be . Phone socket > cable from socket to WAN port on first Router (5364) , make sure nothing is connected into the broadband socket of this router or it will not work. Ethernet cable from LAN port of 5364 to WAN port of ORBI router.

This is assuming the TalkTalk 5364 router is the first device connected.

Something not quite right here...

If the broadband service is Fibre to the Cabinet ie VDSL broadband then the grey Broadband cable connection from the Sagemcom 5364 is used to connect to the BT Openreach socket. The Red WAN port is not used at all.

The Wi-Fi on the 5364 should be switched off to avoid Wi-Fi interference to the Orbi mesh system. The Orbi Mesh Internet (Ethernet) socket is connected to a yellow LAN port on the 5364. The rest of the setup of the Orbi Mesh units is done via the Orbi app. The Orbi needs to be set to Access Point mode via the Advanced tab menu. When the connection is set up then make sure the firmware on the Orbi Mesh is updated.
