If it is a FTTC Fibre65, Broadband comes with the landline - if Fibre to the Premises you'll be given options such as VoIP, copper leave behind or a special adapter depending on which company is paired with Talktalk for the area. So not straightforward - you are not going to know until you set about ordering, @rappy30.

While on FTTC the landline calls are simply charged per minute, so you don't lose the use at all. Ordinary landline calls are @24p per minute, so it doesn't take long to clock up £16.00.

For a frequent user of landline, the boost represents good value even at full price.

If you phone them up or keep an eye out for discounted offers you could well get it for less.

When they re-add it at a new price, you need to keep it for at least a month. It's not an intrinsic part of a new contract, and can be removed after that first month without penalty.

My contract expired on May 1st and I have a couple of options;

1. I can stay on my existing service and automatically move to £23.95 per month*. I am now out of contract with maximum flexibility to upgrade any time I like.

Question - I have Unlimited UK Calls Boost that now costs £16. If I cancel the anytime calls boost to save me £16 will I still have my telephone line to receive incoming calls?

2. My second option is to move onto a new, matching Fibre 65 contract for £26.00 per month for another 24 months, average download speeds of 77Mb/s.

Question - If I did order that option would it come with the landline for incoming calls.

Thanks for any advice
