What sort of speeds do you get around your game console via Wi-Fi & how does that compare to logging into the Hub 2 & checking there? The problem is with your suggested scenario, any Ethernet gains will only be as good as the Wi-Fi connecting them to the Hub 2.

Any poor Wi-Fi performance at or by the games console should be investigated first, rather than throwing money at a solution that will probably be no better at all.

I can help with all such Wi-Fi issues.

Hi guys. Not very good technically so hope this makes sense.

I'm an avid cloud gamer and although it's fine over WiFi obviously it's recommended to be hard wired for the best experience

I have my WiFi hub 2 in the hallway of our home. My game console is in the living room.

Is there anything I can buy that sits next to my console in my living room that I can ethernet straight too and then that connects wirelessly to my hub?,

I'd rather not have to drag a wire 25ft across the hallway into the living room to the console.

I'm not sure if anything like this even exists or is possible but to summarize

-wifi hub stays in hallway.

-pirchase something that connects to the WiFi hub wirelessly (an extender maybe)

-this sits next to my console in living room which is then ethernet cabled directly to console.

I hope that makes sense?

Fyi I cannot move my WiFi hub from hallway as it's connected directly to an ONT box which was pre installed there before we moved in.

Thanks

Hi Jamieleewv,

How are you getting on? If you are experiencing problems with your wifi connection I'd suggest taking Keith up on his kind offer of assistance
