Hi there,

I have been receiving a number of security alerts today from Avast which are worded as follows:

Threat secured

We've safely aborted connection with apps.talktalk.co.uk because it was infected with URL: Phishing

I can provide the full URL if you need it, please let me know. However, I need to be sure that by disclosing it on this forum no "sensitive" information will be shared.

Is this a known fault currently being investigated?

Regards,

Andy

Hi capers62

Avast can give false or misleading positives. However, apps.talktalk.co.uk is the sign in website for TalkTalk Mail's webmail service. If your mailbox received a phishing email and you signed in to TalkTalk Mail to retrieve that phishing email then perhaps that is a concern. Please report such phishing emails to TalkTalk.

Phishing emails & everything you need to know

Thanks for the info, in hindsight I would probably have been better posting this topic under "Email" rather than Broadband.

I always forward on any phishing emails to Talk Talk but will only know the nature of any messages after logging into my TT webmail account.

Regards,

Andy
