WPA3 Encryption on Huawei HG633 router

Hello, please could you tell me if there is any way to be able to use WPA3 encryption on my Huawei HG633 TalkTalk router? I have searched through the options in the router but there is no option for WPA3. I am worried about the weak security of my home network. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hardware version is H.1.01

Software Version is V2.00t

There have been improvements in WPA2 Personal with firmware updates. Not all routers or WiFi devices will support these, but quite a lot do. Generally, all that WPA3 does is to enforce these security upgrades, rather than leaving it up to the router or individual devices to support them.

I have been doing work on one such facility called 802.11w, which deals with protected management frames to prevent DEAUTH attacks. This patch is implemented in the WiFi Hub2 and other Sagemcom products etc & every modern WiFi card that I have tested. I no longer have an HG633, so I can't test this.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't heard of DeAuth attacks but just looked into them. The signal strength has suddenly dropped to virtually nil this week and was wondering if someone might have accessed my network. So even an 18 digit Wifi password could not prevent a DeAuth attack?

The wireless passphrase is the same with WPA 2 & 3.

What I am referring to is the 802.11 management frames that flow between the adapter & router or AP.

You do not see these, they control the connection & disconnection of the device. Most of these without Management Fram Protection (MFP) can be subject to abuse of the DEAUTH frame.
