Hi

Recently my internet has started dropping out (NOT the wifi: the hub light turns a blinking orange). It started doing it a couple of weeks back, but then seemed to return to functioning briefly before now reverting to dropping out every few minutes at times. I had no new equipment (there is hardly anything using the wifi - at least, nothing with high demand) at the start, but do now have a new TV that was plugged into the hub (but the problem persists when the TV is unplugged from the hub (it's on an ethernet) and the power). I've turned the hub power off multiple times and done a factory reset.

I contacted the online chat - got passed between multiple staff/ bots, most of whom couldn't be bothered to read the chat they had been passed, and now have been sent a wifi booster! (no use whatsoever, obviously, without actual wifi).

I run connection tests when it drops via my mobile phone connection in case these log the fault with talktalk to fix it - but have no idea if this is correct.....

How do i get it fixed therefore? I work from home, so do need a connection

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with your service. Line test is passing but I can see that the connection is dropping. Are you experiencing any problems with your telephone service, any noise on the line?

Chris

There is a dialling tone - albeit sounds a bit crackly.

Does that answer your question?

HI Chris. Yes it is.

However, and happily, I can confirm that. for reasons I am not clear about, my router and internet connection is now currently stable and has remained connected since yesterday.

If you could feed back, however, that the online chat route was really pretty crummy as a way of resolving problems...
