Bogus telephone calls

I have been getting telephone calls from various different mobile numbers claiming to be from talktalk. I have asked them to identify themselves but they just say hold on we can do that! They wanted me to download an app on my mobile to check internet speed, I wasn't convinced it was an actual talktalk representative so I hung up. Since then different mobile numbers have kept ringing and when I pick up , they hang up! Has anyone else had this happen?

We wouldn't call you and ask you to download anything, I would suggest activating callsafe on your line, you can do this via My Account it has been proven to deter scam callers.
