Hi Bags72

Unfortunately we are no longer able to switch off WIFI optimisation.

Is the connection not stable on the channels chosen by WIFI optimisation?

I'm having the same problem. My router seems to have gone out of it's way to pick the most crowded channels for both 2.4 and 5 GHz and when I manually change them, they revert back.

I'm not sure why TalkTalk would even give us the option to manually change channels if they are just going to be overridden by the router five minutes later?

Hi Debbie,

I made a mistake on the OP I have a "FAST 5364"

You used to be able to turn this off as I checked previous simalar posts, why have you stopped doing this? why downgrade your ablity to resolve customer issues?

Yes the system keeps changing my 5Ghz from am optimal channel (100-112) to a very crowded channel (36-44), so as far as I'm consered the rotuer is now broken.

Can you supply me a different router where I can set my own channel?

If not can you advise a 3rd party router I could buy and use instead of the broken supplied one?

If not I think I will need to look at a different broadband supplier, I have only just signed a new contract a coupld of months ago, can I use this as a reason to leave without penalties?

Ok thanks. We've been advised that we can no longer switch off wifi optimisation as it affects other things such as the ability to run tests in My Connection. Could I just ask, are you experiencing wireless connectivity/performance issues?
