Router Connection speeds Fluctuating Wildly

My Talk Talk router has, for a while now, been fluctuating up and down on connection speed between around 2Mbps and 65Mbps when checked via wi-fi on my phone.

When checked on my computer the speed is pretty constant most of the time at around 74/75 Mbps.

The router type is FAST 5384-3 T8

The wi-fi Hub version is SG4K100174

My router is a good few years old, could this be a firmware problem, and if it is how, if there is one, do I go about getting one.
