Router not working

Hi I have an engineer coming on Tuesday afternoon I’ve had no internet since last week! I think I’ve identified the problem it my router that isn’t working! Will the engineer have one with him? Or can you send me out one!

Please complete your community forum profile details, @Babybates123, for forum staff to identify your account.

Add your Talktalk phone number or account in Personal Information. You find this by going via your avatar; settings, drop down menu....once completed, scroll down to find the button to SAVE CHANGES.

If you don't need an engineer, you need to cancel them by noon the day before the appointment.

Staff will respond during the day.

Morning,

If the router is faulty and this is a TalkTalk Engineer then the engineer will be able to replace the router for you. We can send a replacement router, however this wouldn't arrive before tomorrow unfortunately. Please let us know how you get on.

Hi there the engineer cancelled on me today he said it won’t be until next week ! My mum is coming to stay with and I need internet also my daughter needs it’s for exams!! It’s not the router I borrowed my mums to try it’s the network itself this is really no I’m with you over 20 years I need someone out asap

Line test is showing that the router is powered down, is it currently switched on and plugged into the telephone socket?

Yes the router is powered on and connected to the phone socket it will not pick up the network! This is terrible it’s a week today and everything is runs off the internet tv etc! Who is to say that bright spark won’t cancel again! Please get in touch with them and tell them they need to come asap! I have my mother coming and she has medical needs! This is awful! 20 years and no one is willing to help!even send openreach there more reliable

OK, we can arrange a visit from an Openreach engineer. If you'd like us to do this can you confirm:

That you accept potential Engineers charges
Provide availability, either AM (8am to 1pm) or PM (1pm to 6pm) between Monday to Friday
