That firmware should end in 206, not 106, please can you recheck that?

Assuming that your Sagemcom router is running V206, there is a bug in the firmware affecting this. If you disable & later re-enable either WiFi band, it won't come back properly, even if the router's UI shows it as enabled. The only workaround is to perform a factory reset on the router, please can you do that? If you still have problems, do not disable the bands again, but I will need to help you check what is going wrong.

Left SageCom Router (vintage 2022-ish) switched on overnight Jan. 8 2025.

Next am all good except mobile phone cannot connect via wi-fi.

Investigation shows 2.4Ghz wi-fi, though toggled ON, shows as : Disabled (in red). No amount of toggling wi-fi or rebooting router has any effect. 5GHz fine and toggles on/off etc just 2.4GHz, which mobile needs.

BUT also, firmware now show as SG4K 1000106 © TalkTalk 2025 ie bang up to date! on 3-ish yr old device. Have I had a 'weapons grade' overnight firmware update? Is there a patch?

I really do need 2.4 Gig access back... er Help! ☹️

Have avoided Factory Reset for fear of triggering booby traps and losing all connectivity.

A simple New Year greeting card would have sufficed 😉

Regards to all.

I wonder if the edit (I couldn't see any major change) caused the 206/106 tango.

So now it's untested updates to Bomb People's Banjos?!

Who do TT think they are? Microsoft?!

Will factory-reset this pm and will post back tomorrow... maybe by Ouija board.

Regards P

Hello again,

I've been advised that a new version of firmware is currently in testing for the wifi hub and we're hoping to start rolling it out in around 4 weeks time. I've asked my colleague if they can confirm if this particular bug will be fixed in this version so I'll let you know as soon as I know more.

Thanks
