Hi

Tests were failing last week with a cable fault and have since been repaired. tests are currently clear with no issues showing.

Do you currently have a dial tone on the phone ?

Is your internet working ?

Can you describe any symptoms of the issue ?

Thanks

Karl.

Hi Karl.

The phone is still silent/some crackling and my internet is intermittent and when it is working I'm barely reaching 10 mbps at best cabled from router to my PC, which is no good for HD streaming and downloading X Box updates via Wi Fi.. I had a solid 50 mbps for a year (after repairs exactly last March) until it started cutting off last week and then noticed the phone is no longer working.

Here is a screenshot of my current speed.

Regards Ian D Johnstone.

Hi

I've checked, and there is an open fault logged with Openreach. An engineer has been out, and the report from friday is that this job is now being passed to third party contractors.

So looks like there is further work required to restore a full service.

Thanks

Karl.

All mended now with a working landline. This is perfectly adequate for my purposes but I think at some point later this year or next year (or next time the internet/phone stops working again) I may consider upgrading to Full-Fibre-To-House now that it is finally available at my street. I've noticed Talk Talk isn't offering that option on my account just yet but I'd much rather stay with your company than switch over to a different ISP for FFTH if I can help it. But for now, my current broadband via copper cable will suffice since it is working again.

Until the next time, thank you for your prompt and reliable response to this matter.

All the best, Ian.
