Hi

Not issues exactly but the previous router lights were constantly flashing all the while when in use also the security issue was the same when using previous router. which I had for years .

I did think by having a new router would resolve the security issue but unfortunately it hasn't. Still same message "don't enter sensitive info such as passwords or credit cards on this site as it could be stolen"

I need this problem to be escalated because I am now very reluctant to use Wi-Fi at all. Even considering changing Broadband provider.

I have checked the WIFI settings while using this now and it states IPV4 DNS Servers (unencrypted)

If it appears only when you are trying to access your router then it can be ignored. The router address will be http, not https. There is no reason for it to be secure as it is not an external site.

Hi @absfab54, thank you for reaching out to us regarding the "unsecured connection" warning message you're experiencing. I understand how concerning this can be, especially when it comes to online security. Let’s work together to address this issue.

The "unsecured connection" message typically appears when you are trying to access a website that does not use HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure). This means that the connection to that website is not encrypted, which can put your sensitive information at risk. It’s good to hear that you have a new router. The WPA/WPA2-Personal setting is a standard security protocol for Wi-Fi networks, and it is generally secure. However, if you are still seeing the warning, it may not be related to your router settings.

Steps to Address the Issue:

Check the Website: First, ensure that the website you are trying to access is secure. Look for "https://" at the beginning of the URL. If it starts with "http://" only, it means the site is not secure. If you have to enter sensitive information, it’s best to avoid that site or contact the website's support for clarification.

Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, clearing your browser's cache can help resolve issues. You can do this by going into your browser settings and finding the option to clear browsing data.

Update Your Browser: Ensure that your web browser is up to date. An outdated browser may not properly recognize secure connections.

Use a Different Browser: If the issue persists, try accessing the website using a different web browser to see if the warning still appears.

Check Device Security Settings: Since you mentioned you have additional security on your devices, ensure that any security software or settings are not overly restrictive, which could be causing the warning.

If you’ve tried these steps and are still having issues, please let us know, and we can assist you further. Your online security is important to us, and we want to ensure you feel safe while browsing. Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to helping you resolve this!
