Hello,

my router is no longer recording logs, as if that function has been turned off. Yet I can find no way to turn it back on/off.

thanks if anyone can help

ps: possibly one of those router rest things or is there a way I can do this without doing this... long complicated passwords and setup 🙂 I'd rather avoid that if I can

Please confirm if you have that version.

Hi @JDupre

That is a known bug of the Sagemcom Hubs 1 & 2 running firmware V208. We are waiting for the next release, but I have not been advised when this is due.

Thank you for all your replies, first worry was someone had hacked the router and had deleted the logs. 🙂

I like the idea of a software bug much better 🙂

Someone asked thr router and firmware version

TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub 2
Firmware Version: SG4K100208

cheers

ps: An option to actually turn them on and off and download them would actually be a good idea as well save wading through pages and pages of logs.

Yes, that is the one where the system log stopped working altogether. For your interest, I have one other bug that I previously drew to the attention of TalkTalk concerning the System Log:-

The DNS server name resolution failure messages are incorrectly categorised as Error. They are minor & therefore would be more appropriately classified as Informational. This incorrect classification is causing a lot of complaints from customers, with their logs rapidly filling up with the log with these messages. Whilst it is not the fault of Sagemcom that a lot of users' favourite websites have poorly maintained web pages, it is still making the log difficult to navigate.

I have campaigned for:-

Could a check box be added to show or hide DNS Server Name resolution entries?

Could a Save to PC option be added to the System Log page?

When used in conjunction with the F266 Booster, could some backhaul status messages be added to the log entries?
