      <title>Ending contract advice.</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Being a TalkTalk customer since 2006 it looks like I'll be leaving. I'm paying £31 a month for copper line, going up to £35 in April. HyperOptic have just installed FTTP in my building where I can get a Fair Fibre Plan for £13 a month with 150 Mbps speed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As I have a TalkTalk email account I need, I realise I'll have to subscribe to Mail Plus managed by Everymail to keep it running (£50 per year I think?). I access TalkTalk mail using eM Client, not web. I assume this would be a seamless process with no interruption to service and same settings for servers, ports, security, etc? Any advice appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jim.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;As you will be getting fibre and it's not a like for like switch, you will need to phone the loyalty team to give your 30 days notice otherwise the 2 would run concurrently and you'd pay twice.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You will get a grace period on your email and then be invited to sign up to Everymail. This would give you time to maybe switch to a free on line email service like Gmail or Hotmail.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When Talktalk can no longer support your email, you will be sent an email from Talktalk to sign up with Everymail via a link.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Wait for that to come, rather than simply going directly to Everymail.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As Fr8ys says, you need to call in to cancel. Don't use Chat as they can't process the cancellation directly and need to phone you back, which can get complicated if missed etc.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for all the replies, I didn't expect such a quick response. Yip, I'm going to phone Loyalty team on the number provided with 30 days notice and I'll pay the £10.80 for each of the remaining few months on my contract, still saving money.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's not practical to migrate all my TalkTalk email to another account so if I get a timely notification from TalkTalk re switch to Everymail&amp;nbsp; and there's no disruption to service I'm happy,&amp;nbsp; just had to be sure.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm leaving TalkTalk after all these years as I'm stuck on an expensive old contract with not even FTTC available. I gather Openreach won't be installing FTTP in my building leaving Hyperoptic as the only option, they also provide a social tariff which helps me. I have to say my interactions with the community over the years have always been friendly and helpful, so here's some Likes and thanks again to all.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jim.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Re switching to a non paid for service, although still a customer, there may come a day when I'm not, so at this moment I'm slowly changing my accounts over.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I've set up one account for financial institutions and utilities and already had another "general" one.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I think I've captured most of the companies I deal with, but if not subscriptions are usually annual so I'd hope to be able to capture and change all within a year.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As you mention a social tariff it would give you an extra £50 a year to play with even if you have to pay for one year then leave Everymail. Just a thought.&lt;/P&gt;
