Copper broadband upgrade

We just moved my mum to TalkTalk. She'd was with EE and got mis-sold a load of stuff she didn't need and got a botched upgrade by Openreach (this is according to the Openreach second fix engineer!) that didn't take the fibre to the place the router needed to be. They took it to the place where the copper enters the house - but from that point there's no viable route to run optical fibre to the router - which is at a central point in the house.

So, for simplicity I opted to get her a TalkTalk copper broadband package to start with (since it was still available and just avoided the fibre issue initially). That's now all sorted, however given the impending switch-off of copper I am wondering what the best approach is to getting Openreach back to sort the fibre connection it out. I requires digging (about 10m) from the road to the point in the house where the router currently is. How do I ensure that they do what's required this time?

Many thanks in advance.
Ben
