topic Patchy speed lately in Broadband

In the last ten days or so we’ve had short periods where the speed drops to almost nothing. Pages are either very slow to load or time out completely. I’ve noticed it last 20 minutes or so but my housemate has probably had more problems as he needs it for video meetings. The connection to the router is fine and the white light is on always during these periods. Can someone investigate for us?

I’ve noticed it mostly during evenings and weekend though that might be a coincidence

Unfortunately, support staff are no longer available here and this will require you contact TalkTalk directly as the forum is now peer to peer and this is something we are, on this occasion, unable to help you with.
Please see the link in my signature for ways to contact TalkTalk.

Is this on a wired or wireless connection, or both? Have you tried switching the router off for a full 30 minutes to see if that resets the session? Any issues noticeable with your voice service such as noise on the line? Worth trying and checking before contacting TalkTalk.

thanks, we never use the phone line so didn't think of checking that, but will do if the problem continues
