Posting this on behalf of my retired mother who received this in an SMS text message from TalkTalk...

"... From 22nd October 2025, your number will be restricted..."

We know that the TalkTalk Mobile service is closing and we have now requested and received the PAC code. My question is not about that. My question is, does anyone know what it means by 'your number will be restricted'? Restricted in what way? What is the significance of 22nd October and what will change from then? The text message provides no further information about that, and I can find nothing about it online so far.

Please don't speculate about what it might mean, but if anyone *knows* what it means, please do tell! Many thanks.
