I just typed a long message which very annoyingly disappeared when I opened another tab for a minute and I really can’t be bothered re typing it. So here’s the abbreviated version… My mother-in-law’s TV intermittently loses signal, has no HD channels (despite retuning several times and being on the latest software), needs switched on from the power button at the back to startup at all and is just generally laggy. The signal from the aerial has been checked by a TV engineer (at my mother-in-law’s expense) and it is fine. The TalkTalk chat was cut off before we reached a conclusion.

Please see the attached TalkTalk chat transcript for details of the problem and send a new TV box. Thank you.

Hi

One thing to try, is to remove the aerial and retune the box to clear the tuner memory, then connect the aerial and retune again. This can often restore channels.

Thanks

Karl.
