I can't get subtitles to appear when viewing Prime material. I have tried the Settings-Accessibility-subtitles route but it makes no difference on TV. Subs appear on my iPad so it's not the movie at fault. There seems to be no Prime-specific subtitle settings, or are there? Or maybe some other solution?

Features differ between platforms, even for what appears to be the same app.

The App owner, in this case Amazon, build their app based on the hardware of the device delivering the app.

This is not a fault with the box or device you are using but a limitation of the App itself.

If your laptop has an HDMI cable and you need subtitles, you could hook this up to your TV.

Alternatively a Fire Stick will also give you the feature you require.

Hi

As fr8ys advises, this functionality can differ between the app on different platforms, so is a limitation of the app.
