ITV updated the app and the software they use is no longer compatible with the box hardware. The logo has been updated from the old Hub one but it does not work.
TalkTalk no longer provide boxes that record but do supply boxes that are basically streamers and have the update ITVX on them. The 4k box can record via a usb stick, but only has one tuner so you can't record a Channel and watch another.
You might find it best to retain your box to record and invest in a Roku or Amazon fire stick which also include other free to view apps such as Pluto.
If you want a TalkTalk supplied box you will need to phone and recontract with them.

As advised, the legacy youview boxes do not support the newer ITV X App, but you can give our teams a call and discuss options for a new TV Hub.

HI, I had the same problem if you reset you box it will work again.

To reset the box

1- press the power button on the back and then back on

2 - press the power button on the front on and then hold the - & + buttons in together and on your TV will come up for factory reset, choose which one you want.

And it will retune and choose which region you want it on.

That should work.

This thread is about ITVX on old legacy YouView boxes.

A reset will not give access to this App on these boxes as they are not supported by ITV for their catch-up app.
