I am thinking of cancelling my subscription as I use very few of the channels provided. Would I still be able to use the box to record channels via the tuner? Also would ITVX be available?

I believe that if you cancel the TalkTalk TV service you will be expected to return the box.

Just to add to my colleagues advice, if you currently have the Netgem box or Android TV box you will have to return these if you cancel TalkTalk TV.

If you have the older legacy Huawei DN360T, DN370/372T then we would not ask for these to be returned.
