Hi, I have the Talktalk plus tv box and use most of the apps for catch up tv, but have had a message that ITV Hub will be closing in November and ITV X is not available. How can I solve this ? Please note I like to use the recording facility for some programs that are not available on catch up or to fast forward through the ads.

ITV have made the decision that the ITV X app will not be available on the legacy You View boxes.

You will need a new box to watch the ITVX app specifically.

You may be eligible to upgrade to the new 4K TV box. If out of contract you will need to renew, and also add TalkTalk entertainment to your package at £5 per month, replacing any previous TV charge and this will also cover the rental of the TV Box.

If this is something you are interested in, give our Customer Teams a call and they can arrange this for you.

Thanks Karl, unfortunately this wouldn’t solve the issue of recording programs, which I do quite a lot of, sometimes 2 at the same time, as it’s much better when you can skip the ads.

Hi I contacted Talk Talk when it said ITVx would not be available , I ended up paying £5 extra and got a new box smaller but doesn’t record . You have to playback .but I understood the playback would not include adverts but it does ??? What exactly am I paying extra for ???
