&lt;P&gt;Try a &lt;A href="http://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Community-Help-Articles-beta/Huawei-YouView-Maintenance-Mode/ta-p/1429347" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;&lt;U&gt;Youview Maintenance Reset&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/A&gt; &amp;nbsp;and see if this helps.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If recordings still fail after this then the only option is a full factory reset from the settings menu.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;A full factory reset will erase and set up the hard drive, but that is the only option if the maintenance reset has failed.&lt;/P&gt;
