&lt;P&gt;If you wish something to make your old TV smart again, the most effective way is something like an Amazon Firestick or Roku stick.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;These have the benefit of the latest apps and you use your TV for terrestrial TV.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you can wait, Amazon regularly reduce the fire sticks in sales and are then very good value for money.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You will need an HDMI port on your TV.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
