Tv 4k box not recognising usb stick

Just got TV 4k box and I'm trying to record programs. I bought an Integral 512gb USB 3.0 flash drive and formatted it on the TV box and my PC, but the Box does not recognise its presence. It says I need to insert a USB drive when I try to record. Any advice?

Where did you buy it from?

Well known auction sites are notorious for selling fakes and sticks that are supposed to be a larger size than they are.

The 4k box is susceptible to the fakes and whilst it seems they are formatted fail in the box.

If you bought from a respectable retailer try and return it as faulty.

Whilst, in theory, the box can use a 1tb stick, a 256gb is usually recommended.

I have now tried 3 different USB's which still don't work on my box so not really sure make,size makes any difference
