NOW TV have just introduced a new Boost which basically adds 4K/UHD, HDR and Dolby Atmos on supported devices.

Will this be available to customers subscribing via TalkTalk?

I’ve had a nightmare trying to add it. When using now tv through my tv app the option to upgrade to UHD is available, however it states I need to do this via now tv app on Talk Talk device. When I login on talk talk the option to upgrade isn’t there. Contacted talk talk they’ve told me they can’t add it. I was told to contact now tv direct where they stated “if added by talk talk direct uhd should be included in package as HD currently is, or it’s £9 extra to be added by them” went through the process anyway, for them to say they’re unable to add possibly due to HD boost added on Talk Talks side. Going round in circles!

That's very much why I asked the question. I have NOW TV directly with them, rather than via TalkTalk and my package upgraded automatically.

Hopefully the support team can give us a more definitive statement when they are back online from tomorrow.

If Now TV Have added an additional boost to include UHD, HDR content etc, you will not be able to add this if you currently have your services through TalkTalk. This boost will not be available as part of the TalkTalk add to bill option unless an agreement is in place with NOW TV.

I have not been made aware of any plans at this time to include this additional boost, but this could change in the future.

So as a customer of now Tv through talk talk I’m unable to add the uhd boost in anyway? 🤦🏻‍♂️

You can check directly in your NOW TV account online, or even chat with NOW TV directly, but if your NOW TV Account refers you back to TalkTalk then you would not be able to add this as we do not currently have an agreement with NOW TV to provide this boost. This may change in the future.
