Turning on/off TV box

When we turn of the TV either via the on/off button or the TV button, when we press one of the buttons to turn it back on the box is always off-line. Is this normal or just a pain?

Which Box is it that you have ?

The TV Box will usually have a standby time that can be adjusted in the settings and changing this can help.

It is the latest small box, if that helps. Do I assume from your reply that it must remain on standby. If so why does it go off when we press the on/off TV button?

If its the android TV HUB, there are 2 power buttons on the remote, one for the TV and one for the box. When putting my TV in to standby here for a few hours, the box remains on when I turn the TV back on, but if the TV is off over night, the box will be in standby. Think I've set the time out to 12 hours.
