What device is this happening on, or more than one? Have you tried reaching out to C4 support directly?

This is unfortunately a known issue and really should be addressed to the app owner C4.

It is caused by the programmes and adverts being held on separate servers and switching back to the programme fails.

It affects ITVX, All4 and My5 at various times and on different devices.

Correcting the issue on one device by the app owners sometimes causes issues on another.

Sometimes resetting the box back to factory settings updates the app, so it may be worth trying.

Failing that you would be best contacting the app owner, giving details of your device, the programme being watched and the time you accessed it.

TalkTalk have no control over the apps on their boxes.

The strange thing is, the adverts always play!
