Hub connected to AVR then TV.

Everything works perfectly if the source output from the Hub is surround (Amazon. Prime, Blu-ray, etc, BBC HD with surround broadcast).

The problem is with outputs from the Hub that have been broadcast in stereo (most BBC, ITV, etc). The AVR thinks the sound is Dolby Digital when it's actually stereo, and the sound comes out as stereo. The Hub output should be tagged

Is this because the Hub sound signal (in stereo) actually appears to the AVR be Dolby Digital?

If I change the Hub sound setting to "never use surround sound", the AVR immediately switches to Dolby Surround.

Problem is have to reset to getDolby Digital on Prime etc.

Is the problem something in the hub sound output that doesn't recognize stereo?

Is this fixable.

Hi

As with your other topics from June and September, I don't think this is fixable. Community members may be able to share their experiences with similar setups.

Thanks

Karl.
