I think I may have pressed the Google assist button on error and I now have a green dot in corner of my tv screen, how do I get rid of this please.

You pressed the microphone button. Press it again.

Hi was not sure where microphone button was do I have gone into settings and found it after a lot of searching and turned this off there green dot now gone.

Glad you sorted this out. This is a security feature introduced in android to let you know when either the camera or microphone is active. If you have an android phone, you may notice this on the phone also.
