Back now. It's under Power and Standby and you want to select Smart Recommended and adjust the hours to suit your normal viewing pattern.

If you are watching outside the hours set, don't worry the box won't turn off, but when you have finished will go into sleep mode after 10 mins.

Mine is set 11pm start and 9am end.

I recently factory reset my YouView box because the box had stopped recording. The box now records, but on each startup of the LG TV, the box has to 'Wake Up': something that didn't happen before the factory reset. In addition, TalkTalk is shown as a TV input but is greyed out; presumably, this is why the box has to wake up when starting the TV.

Is this a settings issue, please?

This is probably a setting within your you view box.

Under, I think it's power management (I'm not at home at the moment), there are 3 settings. Make certain this is on the recommended one. This doesn't put the box into deep sleep except during the hours you select.

Being greyed out does mean your box is not live but in sleep mode. Once you change the box settings this will appear as normal.

Does your LG TV have the magic remote? If so and you wish this to control your box too, you will need to install the YouView box into the TV dashboard.

Thanks. It does appear to be a standby issue, and the problem is resolved now.
