The TV hub does not record.

The usb allows you to play files though the box, the micro sd card is supposed to expand the box memory to allow more apps, but Google in their infinite wisdom, insist apps are installed to the main memory, effectively making the sd card slot redundant. I was one of the tester for this and even with settings changed made the box so sluggish if you forced an app to the card, it made it unusable.

Have you sent the 4k box back? If not you could keep this and phone and arrange to return the hub if you wished.

I had the old TV Box which had a USB port that allowed me to record programs. I have just taken delivery of the new TV Hub, which has the USB port, which I have put my flash drive into, but I cannot find any way to record programs, as there is no button on the remote control nor menu screen. Is this another feature that TalkTalk has moved so I have to use the catch-up app facility?

When I took out the new contract on this box, I was not advised that the record feature has been removed.

What is the purpose of the USB and Micro SD card ports?
